Patagonia Private Excursions | Torres del Paine National Park

EYOS Expeditions, the world leader in private superyacht expeditions, and Awasi Patagonia, the world’s southernmost Relais & Chateaux hotel, are thrilled to announce their new partnership, creating the ultimate exploration at the end of the world.

Spend four nights riding with gauchos, hiking to ice-blue lakes, and puma spotting at Awasi Patagonia before journeying through the fjords from Puerto Natales to Ushuaia aboard expedition yacht Hanse Explorer. This expedition allows the most complete discovery of Patagonia, combining the iconic mountains and steppe of Torres del Paine National Park with the remote seascapes and glaciers of the Chilean fjords.

The expedition does not need to end there, those in search of the ultimate adventure continue to the Antarctic Peninsula. A vast continent of ice and the awe-inspiring power of raw nature, Antarctica is the world’s most pristine environment, offering unparalleled landscapes, natural beauty, an abundance of wildlife and exhilarating adventures. Our planet in its most pristine state, perhaps the closest you can get to feeling like you are visiting another world.

Awasi Patagonia offers sweeping views over the Torres del Paine Mountain Range, the Patagonian Steppe and Lake Sarmiento, an idyllic backdrop to explore Torres del Paine National Park. With 14 villas, spread across a private reserve, Awasi guests enjoy access to a private guide and 4WD vehicle throughout their stay, maximizing the opportunities for exploration. No routes, no set itinerary— guests are free to discover Patagonia’s wild, remote beauty alongside an experienced Awasi guide with in-depth local knowledge and passion for the region.

Kayaking | Arctic | Antarctic

From riding with gauchos to hiking to the base of the towers, Awasi guests return to the main lodge where the barman can shake up a cocktail which they can enjoy by the open fire. Awasi Patagonia is the southernmost Relais & Chateaux hotel, so gastronomy exceeds all expectations despite the remote location of the Awasi private reserve. Local delicacies include guanaco steak with organic vegetables accompanied by a glass of Chilean red.

Following a 4-night stay at Awasi, guests may board expedition yacht Hanse Explorer for a 5-night voyage through the Chilean fjords, ending in Ushuaia, nicknamed the “end of the world” at the tip of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. Later in the season (Dec-Feb), Awasi guests may enjoy their 4-night stay, then board Hanse Explorer and continue to Antarctica for a 10-night expedition– the ultimate adventure.

Explore the Wilderness in Luxury

Ben Lyons, EYOS Expeditions’ CEO said “EYOS and Awasi are introducing a unique concept in the yachting world—a curated, thoughtful immersion combining the best on land and sea. Combining Hanse Explorer and Awasi will allow guests to see seamlessly experience Chile from two different but complementary perspectives. We’ve been sending our clients to Awasi after their Antarctica adventures for so long now it seemed a natural fit to formally partner.”

“Since we opened our first Awasi lodge in 2007, we have been finding ways to take our guests into areas of untouched natural beauty, far from the crowds, so they can be immersed in nature. The combination of Awasi Patagonia with EYOS Expeditions gives guests the opportunity to experience an ever-rarer thing in this world: areas where nature reigns and people tread lightly, aware that they are visitors and privileged to be able to set foot in these places,” added Matias de Cristobal, Director General, Awasi – Relais & Chateaux.

Explore the Wilderness in Luxury

The recently retrofitted Hanse Explorer— ice classed and built to explore both tropical and polar environments— is a true “go anywhere” yacht, accommodating 12 guests across 1 owner’s suite and 6 staterooms, with bright, modern interiors and nautical influences throughout.

The oversized windows and glass-sliding doors maximize views, bringing the outside in. Other amenities include a saltwater jacuzzi, a sauna, and a cocktail area outfitted with Bose sound systems where guests can enjoy a chef-prepared meal after a long day of exploring. And thanks to the installation of a pair of zero speed stabilizers, the superyacht can carve through even challenging waters with minimal motion.

Whale Watching | Patagonia

Plus, she carries 2 MK IV Zodiac tenders for dive forays, exploring, and landings. All of Hanse Explorer’s operations are fully carbon offset.

The weekly charter rate for Hanse Explorer is USD 235,000 + expenses. This includes the expedition team.
